Read and acknowledge the Behaviour Policy and Crèche Terms and Conditions. Parents and guardians must remain within Lords Recreation Centre and be contactable throughout their child’s visit.
Settling Children In
Starting in a new environment can take time. Our team will support your child to settle comfortably into the crèche.
We recommend:
- Introducing your child through shorter visits before progressing to longer stays
- Sharing information about sleep routines, toileting and settling strategies with staff
- Using a pram or stroller for younger children if drop-offs are challenging
- Calmly saying goodbye
- Letting your child know where you are going
- Reassuring your child that you will return
If your child cannot settle within a reasonable timeframe or staff have concerns about their wellbeing, you may be contacted and asked to collect them.

Children will only be released to:

If another person needs to collect your child:
- Notify crèche staff in advance
- Update the collection details when signing in
Staff may request photo identification. In an emergency, an approved emergency contact may be authorised to collect your child.
