Les Mills group fitness classes


A sports inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilisation exercises.

Go from the weekend athelete to the hardcore competitor.

Pilates, yoga and tai chi combined in a workout that builds flexibility and strength leaving you feeling centred and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

A 30 minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, scientifically designed to build strength and improve cardiovascular fitness fast! It will leave you burning calories for hours afterwards.

GRIT Strength™
This workout uses barbells, weight plates and body weight exrecises to blast all major muscle groups. Build some serious strength and take your cardiofitness to the next level.


An indoor cycling routine workout where you ride a BodyBike (the latest indoor cycling technology) to the rhythm of powerful music. Take on the terrain with your inspiring team coach who leads the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trails and interval training. Discover your inner athlete – sweat and burn to reach your endorphin high.

Smash your fitness goals faster! SPRINT is thirty minutes of high intensity interval training (HIIT) on a bike. This is a quick, hard style of training that will challenge your physical and mental limits, featuring bursts of intensity followed by short periods of rest that prepare you for the next effort.

Freestyle group fitness classes


A fun workout in the water to improve cardiovascular fitness, mobility and strength. Toning work and stretching included.

Freestyle cycle

Freestyle cycle combines high intensity cardio and strength training on a bike with rhythm based choreography. Classes vary from sprints and races to endurance and climbing, all to the background of a rich mix of music. This ride is unique as it challenges the participant physically with the use the music to push past barriers. In other words get ready to party!

Functional fitness (previously core fusion)

Strength starts at your core! A 15 minute session, aiming to improve core strength, mobility and posture. Featuring abdominal, glute and lower back exercises.


Movement which establishes correct recruitment of muscles and improved postural alignment. Emphasis on core and joint stability as well as myofascial training for functional strength and balance.

Swim squad

A 60 minute class working on drills to improve your stroke followed by a main set of speed or endurance work and cool down. A great way to knock out the laps and improve your swimming fitness.


Yoga is a personal journey of awareness and transformation to reinstate your natural ability to heal your body and calm your mind. Different intensity options are offered so you can enjoy the class at your own level. Lords has a team of highly experienced yoga instructors. 


This class  fuses yoga and Pilates methods in order to improve your posture and movement quality. Stretch, mobilise and strengthen your body with a focus on breath functionality to increase your sense of wellbeing. Participants will learn and understand why and how their deep core muscles aid in a healthy spine.

Classes at Lords

Gold circuit

A circuit based resistance class designed to assist in the prevention and management of many age related health conditions. Emphasis on functional fitness relevant to seniors and instructed in a fun and sociable environment. These sessions are conducted in the gym and are included in your Lords membership.

Classes at City of Subiaco community centres

Our age-friendly community fitness classes at Shenton Park and The Palms community centres are recommencing from Monday 10 January 2022.

Zumba Gold

A modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. The class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong. 

Zumba Gold is held at 10.30am on Tuesdays at Shenton Park Community Centre and 9.30am on Thursdays at The Palms Community Centre. The class costs $5 or is included in your Lords membership.

Gold fitness

A balance of muscle conditioning exercises and stretching designed to improve coordination, stamina, balance and mobility. Enjoy the friendly, safe and nurturing environment of this specialised session. 

Gold fitness is held at 10.15am on Wednesdays at Shenton Park Community Centre. The class costs $5 or is included in your Lords membership. 

Gold Pilates

A fun class that improves mobility, builds strength and develops balance. A variety of Pilates based exercises performed sitting on a chair or standing with a chair for support. Informative, take-home tips to help you move more freely in your everyday life. 

Gold Pilates is held at 10.30am on Thursdays at The Palms Community Centre. The class costs $5 or is included in your Lords membership.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is recommencing from Monday 17 January 2022.

Chair yoga improves flexibility, mobility, strength, balance, coordination and general wellbeing. We use a chair for ease, safety and comfort while doing traditional yoga postures, whether sitting or standing. The class is fun, social and non-threatening and requires no previous understanding or experience of yoga.

Chair yoga is held at 10.45am on Mondays at Shenton Park Community Centre. The class costs $5 or is included in your Lords membership. * Please ensure you bring your own mat for chair yoga.
