Pool

The twenty-five metre indoor heated swimming pool is one metre in depth from end to end. The pool is perfect for water running, muscular rehabilitation and aqua fitness classes. Heated to thirty degrees all year round, it provides the perfect environment for an intense water-resistance workout or a cool down after a strenuous weights session.

Pool opening hours

The pool is open 5.45am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm on Saturdays and 8am to 5pm on Sundays.

The pool has six lanes, two of which are always set up as a double width walking/rehab lane.

Please note: The pool is unavailable for recreational swimming between 9am and 10am on Tuesdays, and between 10am and 11am on Saturdays, however, members are still able to participate in pool based group fitness classes at these times.

There is no casual entry to the pool.

Aqua

Lords offers aqua classes that are a great alternative to the gym and other group fitness classes. Aqua is fun hour long workout in the water to improve cardiovascular fitness, mobility and strength. Toning work and stretching is included in the class.

Swim Squad

Swim Squad is a one hour class working on drills to improve your stroke followed by a main set of speed or endurance work and finishing with a cool down. Swim Squad is a great way to knock out the laps and improve your swimming fitness.

There is no need to book ahead of time, just come along and join in.

Lords also welcomes group bookings for organised group training and pool rehabilitation activities.

Swim SchoolsSwim school

Children's swimming lessons are conducted at Lords by swim school Go Swimming.

Endorsed by the Royal Life Saving Society, Go Swimming specializes in baby, toddler and school age swimming lessons, with a focus on ensuring children are educated about how to be safe in and around the water.
