Like all good habits, preparation and organisation are key. It's just as important to plan time for your food preparation as it is to schedule your training.

Here are some tips on how to make time for good nutrition.

Look at your week ahead.  When do you have time to shop? When do you have time to cook?  Plan it in to your day!

Be efficient
Prepare meals once per week or every 3 - 4 days, and when cooking, make more than necessary and place leftovers in the freezer.
This will help you stay on track and making nutritious choices when you're time poor.

Be smart
Pre slice raw items i.e. chicken breast and bag them separately before you freeze. This way it’s already chopped and ready to cook. When you plan your food shop, add some time for this. That way your food prep will take less time AND won't be as messy.
