Lords runs free monthly health and fitness workshops open to the whole community, where participants get tips and demonstrations from our team of experienced personal trainers. You’ll learn about everything from kickboxing to maintaining muscle mass and bone density as you age.


June challenge - Rowing - What's your PB?

A perfect winter workout; rowing is a full-body exercise that can help build and tone your muscles, improve your cardiovascular function and increase your stamina.

We're challenging our members to record, challenge and beat their PB times this June.

Speak to one of our gym instructors when you next visit, and they'll show you how to record your time.

June workshop – Running 101

In June, join Kathleen for an all-rounder workshop on running.

In this workshop, Kathleen will take you through:

  • Warming up and cooling down
  • Different types of interval training - such as progression and steady-state
  • Running technique
  • Drills for improving your running technique

May workshop – Suspension training

In May, join Zoe for a free workshop on the basics of suspension training.

Have you ever wondered about the straps hanging to the side of the gym? Suspension training is a great portable way to keep fit and it can cater to all levels, from beginner to advanced.
