Lords recreation centre entry

What to expect

What to expect

22 May 20

Lords will be reopening from 6am Tuesday 26 May 2020. In order to keep our staff and members healthy and safe, we have implemented a number of protocols that you will be required to follow when you come to the centre.
Please read through these frequently asked questions prior to your visit.
Q. What do I need to do before coming back to Lords?
In order to return to Lords, you need to have opted in for our COVID care membership AND booked in to the group fitness class or pool session. Find out more here.
Q. When should I arrive for my class or session?
Please arrive between 5 and 15 minutes prior to your class or session. A staff member will be waiting at the front entrance to check your admission ticket and direct you in to reception for payment.
Please avoid gathering outside the building before class and wait in your car until 15 minutes prior to class if you happen to arrive early.
Q. What should I bring?
Bring a gym towel and yoga mat (if required) as well as a full drink bottle. Remember that water fountains will not be available for use.
If you are using the pool, make sure you come in your swimwear as the change rooms will not be available.
Q. What health and safety rules must I follow?
You will need to adhere to social distancing measures, and keep 1.5m away from others wherever possible. We ask that you also wash your hands and make use of the hand sanitiser available regularly. Anyone displaying flu-like symptoms will not be allowed to enter the building.
Q. When should I pay for my session?
Once you enter the building, please report directly to reception. All group fitness classes (including aqua) cost $8 and pool sessions cost $5. Cashless payment is preferred.
Once you have paid, a staff member will direct you to where you can enter the pool or group fitness studio.
Q. Which toilets and change room facilities can I use?
There will be no change room facilities available, including showers and lockers. The pool side toilets (accessed via the group fitness corridor) will be available for use, and members are asked to adhere to social distancing when using them. Please do not queue in the change rooms.
Q. How do I maintain social distancing in class/in the pool?
We will have markers on the floor of the group fitness studio. When you enter the room, please choose a marker and set up your station there. We ask that you stay as close to this marker as possible throughout the session.
In the pool, there is a strict maximum of two people per lane at all times. If by chance the session is not fully booked, we ask that you please choose an empty lane, rather than one that is already occupied.
Q. What do I do after class?
After class, or at the end of your pool session, we ask that you make your way back out the front entrance and go directly to your car. Please do not form groups or stay back after class to catch up with friends, as staff have a strict cleaning schedule to stick to.

If you have any additional questions, please contact Lords at lords@subiaco.wa.gov.au or 6229 6600. Please note that staff will only be able to respond to emails or answer phone calls during centre opening hours.

See you soon!
