Entry requirements from 31 January

Entry requirements from 31 January

27 January 22

From Monday 31 January, you will be required to show proof of double COVID vaccination when you enter Lords Recreation Centre (ages 16 years and over).

As a mixed use facility with only one set of shared facilities for all users, Lords Recreation Centre will continue to require proof of vaccination for everyone entering the facility, including those accessing the pool and courts. All City staff are fully vaccinated; together this will maximise our ability to protect the health of our community.

Providing Proof of Vaccination

The easiest way to show proof of vaccination is by presenting your digital vaccination certificate or medical exemption on the ServiceWA app.

Members can also show proof of vaccination by presenting:

  • your digital vaccination certificate, and personal identification; or

  • a physical copy of your vaccination certificate, and personal identification; or

  • your immunisation history statement, and personal identification; or

  • your printed or digital medical exemption, and personal identification

Visit Reception or see our Memberships team with a copy of your proof of vaccination, and your verified ID (if required) next time you’re in. We will update your profile and you will continue to have access to the centre. Please don’t email us a copy of your certificate, as we cannot keep it on record, or accept it as valid proof of vaccination compliance.

It may initially take some time to update all of our member profiles with their vaccination status. We ask our members and customers to allow extra time when you arrive, while we adjust to these new processes.

We recognise that this is quite a transition, and proof of vaccination will need to be shown each visit. Random spot checks may also occur, so please assist our staff in showing your proof of vaccination when asked.

Please contact us on 6229 6600 or lords@subiaco.wa.gov.au for more information. Together, we can do this!

It may initially take some time to update all of our member profiles with their vaccination status. We ask our members and customers to allow extra time when you arrive, while we adjust to these new processes.

You may be asked for proof of vaccination at the door, or upon payment at reception or the café. Random spot checks may also occur, please assist our staff in showing your proof of vaccination when asked.

Will my access be blocked if I don't update Lords with my vaccination status?
Yes. If you are not fully vaccinated by Monday 31 January, your access to the gym, group fitness and pool will be restricted until your status is updated.

What if I have received one vaccination and am waiting to be eligible to receive my second?
If you are not double vaccinated by 31 January, you are not permitted to enter Lords until you are, or restrictions change. Please contact our Memberships team who will help you organise putting your membership on suspension until you are able to safely return.

What can I do about my membership if I’m not ready to get vaccinated before 31 January 2022?
We understand some members may be hesitant to come into the centre, or become fully vaccinated by 31 January. We are happy to work with you, and place your membership on a suspension until 28 February at no charge. We will touch base again with you around 28 February, or when circumstances change. This suspension will not affect your normal suspension entitlements.

Is it safe to attend Lords, and what measures do you have in place?
Your health and safety is our number one priority. In addition to ensuring our patrons and staff are fully vaccinated from 31 January, Lords has organised additional cleaning throughout the centre, air purifiers in the upstairs cycle studio, hand sanitiser readily available, provided staff training in COVID safety and will continue to stay up to date with industry trends and firsthand experience to ensure the most effective processes are being followed.

As per the State Government requirements, we have a COVID Safe Plan in place which is regularly reviewed and updated.

I would like to sign up for a membership online. How do I show my proof of vaccination?
Memberships are still available for purchase online. When you come into the centre for the first time to collect your member access token, and have your photo taken, we will also request proof of vaccination.

I’m not planning on getting vaccinated, can I cancel my membership?
If you’re not planning on getting vaccinated and would like to cancel your membership, we are sorry to see you go! Your direct debit membership usually has a 14 day cancellation period however due to the circumstances, we are happy to accommodate your request and waive this notice period.

You will have access to the centre up until, and including Sunday 30 January. It’s important to us that you only pay for the number of days you have access to our facility, so your last pro-rata payment will be adjusted to suit.

Please contact memberships@subiaco.wa.gov.au for more information.

Non-members
I’d like to do a class or use the gym but I’m not a member, what do I need to do?

Social sports teams and court hire
I play in a social sports team, am I required to show proof of double vaccination?
Yes. All visitors, including social sports participants and spectators, are required to provide proof of vaccination to play in our social sports competitions. We will be conducting random spot checks of sports teams each week night.

If you have any questions regarding playing in the sports competition, or your team’s eligibility to play, please contact our Sports team on 6229 6627 or lords@subiaco.wa.gov.au

I just want to pay for casual access to the courts or shooting. Where do I show my proof of vaccination?
Upon payment for any service, reception or cafe staff will check your proof of vaccination and apply a paper wristband. The wristband will ensure that if our staff conduct random spot checks later, you are not required to provide proof twice.

I'd like to hire a sports court. Where do I show my proof of vaccination?
