Lords Pool Closure

Lords Pool Closure

5 August 22

Lords is pleased to announce that we will soon be undertaking a refurbishment of the pool deck area. The upgrade will include replacing the existing flooring with a tile flooring solution that is nonslip, robust, safe, waterproof and easy to maintain. The extent of the area includes the pool concourse perimeter skirting tiles, face tiles and the edge and corner protection of the pool.

The spa shell will be removed and tiled to ground level to allow for more storage and seating.

To enable this project to go ahead, the pool will be unavailable for use, and closed for a period of 30 working days. Construction will require the closure of the Lords pool from Monday 5 September 2022, with the anticipated reopening on Saturday 15 October 2022.

We look forward to welcoming you back!

When is the pool closed?
The Lords pool will be closed from Monday 5 September 2022, with the anticipated reopening on Saturday 15 October 2022.

Is Lords replacing the spa?
The spa shell will be removed and tiled to ground level to allow for more storage and seating. Installing a new spa would require significant structural alterations to the pool area and carpark. This is due to the need for the plant room to be extended to meet the current code of practice for aquatic facilities.

Will any other facilities be impacted?
No, all other facilities of the centre, including changeroom facilities will be open to members and visitors during the construction.

Is Lords running any Aqua classes during this time?
No, all classes in the pool area will be suspended during the construction period.

I have a peak access membership; can I have a discount on my membership fees while the pool is closed?
We will not be offering any discount to your peak access membership during the closure. This is a great opportunity to try the other fantastic facilities Lords has to offer! Can I suspend my membership?
Yes, Peak and Off-peak all access members are welcome to suspend their membership for the duration of the pool closure. You must notify Reception or the Membership Team know if you would like to suspend.
