Lords conducts social sporting competitions, hires courts for casual use and can run various corporate sporting events.
Competitions
You can nominate a team for sports including:
- Indoor soccer
- Basketball
- Netball
- Volleyball
With separate grades for ladies, men and mixed, Lords offers a fun competition for all abilities, from social beginners to the more experienced sportsperson. For more information on sports competitions, or to download a nomination form, please click on the appropriate sport at the bottom.
Lords conducts three social-sports seasons per year:
- Season 4:
- Starts 28 June 2010
- Combined grand final day, Sunday 24 October 2010, for all sports
- Season 5:
- Starts 25 October 2010
- Combined grand final day, Sunday 27 February 2011, for all sports
- Season 6:
- Starts 28 February 2010
- Combined grand final day, Sunday 26 June 2011, for all sports
Finals format for Season 3 2010:
- Semi finals, starting Monday 21 June 2010 (format not available until round 8)
- Grand Finals, Sunday 27 June 2010 (format not available until round 8)
Lords is always on the look out for referees and umpires. Please refer to our Umpires/Referees page for benefits on officiating at Lords.
Casual use
You don't have to play in our competitions to be active at Lords. Apart from hiring courts for you and your friends to play basketball, netball, soccer or volleyball, you can also hire our squash courts (link squash) or our indoor tennis courts, keeping you out of the weather all year long.
Corporate sporting events
Corporate groups can hire courts to run their own sporting challenge, or Lords can manage a large scale single or tabloid sporting event. While you're here, you can take advantage of our large crèche and fully stocked café.
